“GOTHAM, a tribute to New-York and the USA”
Mat ELBÉ and TAREK are the creators of the project “FROM GOTHAM” which was born during their stay in New York in October 2017.
From this date, they began to think of an ambitious artistic project in which they could associate exhibitions in gallery, publications of books and prints as well as performances in live painting or on the street. To do this, they invited artists from diverse backgrounds to be part of the project :
Sophie NEURY (painter and photographer), Nathalie MOLLA (painter), SPRAY YARPS (stencil), PHIL artist (graffiti artist and painter), LOODZ (graffiti artist and painter), BASTO (Stencil) but also Gwendal LEMERCIER (illustrator and painter), Alain ROBET (illustrator and painter) and Vincent POMPETTI (illustrator and painter).
The project “FROM GOTHAM” will start in April 2019 with a first exhibition at the Impermanence gallery in Rennes followed by two others at No Galerie in Rennes and at Amarrage gallery in Saint-Ouen flea market. Exhibitions and performances will continue until April 2021.
