Remi Cierco

« The medium often dictates the background of my works. »

REMI CIERCO is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1979 in Paris. After an initial training in an art school, he became a set designer, a visual artist, an illustrator, a painter… a foothold in many artistic professions, which led him to mix with very different creative universes. But REMI CIERCO is also a Street Art artist who lights up the city with his childish frescoes, which mix imaginary characters and spray-painted graffiti. You must have crossed his paintings while walking in Paris.

When he does not create frescoes, REMI CIERCO paints on various and varied supports, which he salvages according to his urban wanderings. Traffic signs, wooden shutters, boxes, etc. he has no favorite medium. And very often, he gets his inspiration from the medium itself. He imagines a whole universe from the object in question, a character, a situation…. and the lines of paint, the colors add up to form at the end ... a story.

In all of REMI CIERCO's creations, whether on a wall or on any other medium, there is always a story, and it is that story that makes the connection between his creations. The spectator can find himself there, or it can remind him of someone, because for sure, we crossed all his characters one day.
